The Traffic Unit downsized in 2008, going from 5 officers to 3 officers.
In 2008, the Lauderhill Police Department identified several traffic related problems in the city. By properly using the three pillars of traffic administration- Education, Engineering, and Enforcement– the traffic unit was able to control and reduce traffic related problems.
